TRS 25th Anniversary

25th anniversary should be GRAND, and mabey even have the potential to be longer than a couple days.

Let's run the T.A.T.
I've ran the TAT. I'd suggest anyone that can't do the whole thing to start in New Mexico near Colorado and do all of Colorado.

The Continental Divide Trail is still on my bucket list.

I'd like to spend a lot of time driving a Ranger cross country and less time towing one.

Ecoboost swap TRS2...

I was googling stuff and for some reason your tat trip in Colorado came up. I think that looks fun.

I can organize some banner events in the southeast - Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida?, Virginias.
Oh, yeah.Virginias. we have someone in Roanoke who could probably find a good picnic area for us to meet at.

Sounds like you should have a newer Ranger.

Build a Gen 4. The older ones are getting long in the tooth and the '98-'11 models are getting relatively affordable that people will want to build them.
The 4.0 SOHC has good power and you could start with an FX4 Level II that already has a lot of the good stuff.
You might remember that when I first started showing up my old '02 Off-Road was impressive for a fairly stock truck.
Lifting and modding the front end has its challenges but that's part of the fun.

I'd love to see an event in the northeast so I could attend since traveling from MA to the trail ride is a major hike and the 2wd owners really can not participate in the event.

Something that both the 4wd's and 2wd's can attend and participate in would be nice.

We were discussing doing things (gathering) that both the 2WD and 4WD enthusiast could attend.

2wd can attend badlands.

Dallas....to ft Collins maybe Tennessee has places for a party....

Multi region banner runs ...say...4 corners with separate meet and greets in the center of those throughout the year with Jim making an appearance at them ...

Do some time attack and drift events...

Soo… years ago I was that guy who showed up to as many trail rides as I could with a stock 2wd. Sometimes I wheeled it a bit (even jumped it at Wellsville once), but I also rode along with guys. There was often someone with an empty seat, I’d usually check before going, but just because I was 2wd didn’t mean I wasn’t welcome

For me the jarring and bouncing is not a good idea as I have a really bad back and hip. Going to a trail ride is like eating candy in front of a kid and telling them they can't have any. It's just not a good experience. I understand that the 2wd's can go but the participation part is problematic for those guys. It would be nice to have an event/gathering where all that can go can participate in the same things no matter if they have a street queen, trail monster or something in between.

Gotta find a campground that has a drag strip, a mud pit, a pile of rocks, a rally stage, and an autocross course.

Perfect place to go.

Well this is the beauty of breaking up an annual event into smaller regional get together events.

A thought I had was to possibly piggy back off another well defined event... poker run... geo cache... treasure hunt... fall color tour... etc.

Just have TRS members end up in a common place for dinner or a campground.

The possibilities are endless... will just require some time to organize it.

I'm headed to jericho mt state park in NH next weekend to do some 4x4'ing, could be a decent spot for a northeast meet. There's trails of various difficulties for trucks/jeeps, relatively sure there's a campground and stuff.
