TRS 20th Anniversary Trail Ride - Southington Offroad Park - Ohio

A friend of mine says that they were still getting in through the back side where the Forbidden Zone was.

I'm not overly worried about it. I purposely chose the 1st weekend of the month so we could get in to Southington Offroad Park http://www.southingtonoffroad.com/

I've hosted a trail ride here before. It's a really nice place. I'm starting to wonder if I should just officially move it there, and then contact Southington Offroad and have them put it on their schedule of events?

Another nice thing is that you can camp there, and they have a bath house and pavilion.

Also is phionex offroad park in wintersville. Ive not been there yet though.

Forbiddon zone is still open but ive not been to wellsville since the free zone got shut down so not sure of current status of the area.

My vote would be to move it. Facilities there look good and it would be nice to have everyone together. Seems like a better place to have a trailer too

Sounds good to me.

The four wheeling is not nearly as good at Southington but it would definitely be a better facility to host such an event.

Both of them look pretty mild

I like the idea of a more structured place with people that run it and may act as guides or have maps or something.

Traveling that far, if we drive out camping stuff wouldn't be such a big deal. If we fly out and rent a car I doubt I will mess with it.

Garrettsville takes an hour off the drive too.

From their calendar, it looks like they're open the weekend before in September (Labor Day), rather than the TRS weekend. I'd love to be wrong!

Are you referring to Wellsville and Southington or Southington and Phoenix?

Southington and Phoenix both are pretty mild Wellsville on the other hand is only as mild as you want it to be.

You won't find anything at Southington that's going to stop a buggy. Wellsville you very well may.
But Wellsville is pretty gray when it comes to what is and isn't legal and legit

They have a nice pavilion with picnic tables, and a restroom. Definitely a plus. Also, I would feel safer about leaving a vehicle, trailer, etc unattended here.

it's got its own challenging trails

I sent them a message earlier today about using the place. Just waiting on a response. That date is just over a year out, but I want to make sure it's a good weekend.

That's good to know about Wellsville. I was so much less built when I was out there I guess I never saw any of the hardcore stuff.

For the TRS run in general I'm not expecting anything crazy.

There is a lot a pretty tough stuff out there but back in the day the majority of the group's ran the same giant Circle every time.
