TRS 20th Anniversary Trail Ride - Southington Offroad Park - Ohio

I'd definitely be in the group for avoiding trail damage since the Ranger is my DD, and my name isn't Bobby.

That said, if there's an extra seat with someone going on the more hardcore trails it would be awesome to ride along.

I'll definitely have at least one open seat for the trip

I love Wellsville! Been there 4 times but never with my own truck yet,Ive only rode as a winch bitch and did some co-driving in buddies Jeeps.

Guess I better get my B2 finished and dialed in now!

Hey Jim, I hear wellsville is patrolled by humvees now kicking people out. Might want to look into it. I know it's been talked about for years to be closed but I just heard today they are pretty serious about it.

I belong to a local Wellsville facebook group to keep up on whats going on down there and havent seen anything about that. My local club just took 21 trucks down there for 3 days a couple weeks ago and had no issues.

:icon_thumby: someone was joking I guess. I was on an off road Facebook page and someone said that but was screwing around. I fell for it. Haha oh well. Glad to hear it's still going.

Ya, they've been saying it's going to get shut down for years.

im in post the date so i can take the time off

I'll probably make it in September 2019. I use to do a spring and fall run. I feel like a fall run could be the grand finale. Plus it gives us more time to plan and make it a bigger event.

Might get a few new trucks there too. :icon_idea:

What is the lodging situation? Everyone camp or hotel or what? The beginner trails passable for a new stock truck or better not?

That was the best Wellsville trip. A lot of great people and we had a ton of fun. The Lisbon Inn still had a weight room--like a real one--not some stretchy-pants place with elliptical trainers.

I enjoyed the winter events, too. I always had my truck packed with people that didn't have dedicated trucks. That shouldn't keep you from coming. I have a video of JohnnyO taking my B2 on 35" Hawgs up Twister in the snow.

My truck wasn't dedicated either. On snow days they rode to school in the back of that B2 with the tires--we had to cut into it for those 35s to fit.

I am just playing with the logistics on how to get there.

2003 was my senior year lol.

Not that I claim to have seen every trail in Wellsville but I really dont think there is anything there "beginner level" and there is noway I would bring a new truck out there. Hell just access road and Free Area can be a struggle for a stock truck.

Good to know. Since there isn't a website for the place with a map that I have been able to find it is hard to tell what is there.

I remember a lot of hill climbs and washouts, some tight areas. Don't remember it being rocky so much. In the spring I don't really remember trucks being denied anywhere, or doing any recoveries other than when I dumped it over taking a bad line.

Here's a folder of Wellsville pics I have from 2004
