TRS 2021 Fall Off-Road Round-Up

I was wondering where the action shots were.

I enjoyed my first 2 days off work then covid laid into me Thursday till about now. Id say im feeling about 30% of what i was a week ago but better than Friday and yesterday. Still feel like i have a sack of concrete on my chest and constantly pouring sweat though.

I almost made it home myself before falling asleep at the wheel. I had to stop and nap for a few minutes then got a cup of coffee and finished my drive. Was home about 2pm central. Then crawled in bed and slept for a couple hours. The little sleep I got there Saturday night wasn't very restful... using a half roll of paper towels as my pillow.

Anyway... just want to say thanks for all the help I got from setting up my tent to helping pull off a pretty darn good pizza bake for everyone. It was my pleasure to do it and I just hope it was enjoyed by everyone.

Safe travels to everyone that is still headed home...

Looking forward to the next time we can do it again.

You went way above and beyond to basically just come and make pizza and hang out.

We are currently in Farmington IL for supper. Pizza was mentioned as there are like 50 million pizza places here but we knew it would likely be a disappointment after last night.

I have pics/vids but they are still on cards bouncing around in the back of the truck. Hoping to get thru Burlington IA tonight, depending on how I feel I might play with them when I get to a hotel with wifi.

And the old dog met a young punk along the highway.

There's usually a delay in posting pix and vids. Most of us are traveling yet and will be tomorrow also. Then have to unpack, get back into work schedule, etc. We're just as eager to share as you are to see them. Some of my photos are on a cf card in my regular camera. So I need to get back to a computer to even see them myself. And most video footage needs some processing to become what we want to share. Relax and enjoy as they start to appear.

They had both dealers side by side. Same outfit, it was on a Ford lot. IIRC it was in eureka IL.

Made it to the west side of Burlington. Time to crash.

Here's a video I know some people are waiting for. Just did a quick edit on my phone. I'll redo it in a week or so on my computer and it will be better.

I just made my last fuel stop about 175 miles from home.

I made it home even with jerks being on the road this time. It was great to meet everyone, even the guy with the Nissan. Then there was that guy with the fake Ranger.... He was ok, I guess.

We had a great time, but I'm excited to get some sleep now. Ethan is sacked out already.

The trip was fantastic. So excited to put real miles on the'99 after all these years. Lots of small things to sort out, but it never missed a beat on the trail or the 1100 miles roundtrip.

Glad to see you guys checking in one by one

Glad you made it out! I realized after leaving that I hadn't said goodbye to you and your friend but it was too late to head back. I enjoyed meeting you.

When do you start planning the next event?

It was awesome to meet you all. We are looking forward to the next ride. Hopefully we can get even more Rangers to join in next time. Awesome to see what everyone has done to make their trucks fit there life and needs. Great time making new memories and new friends. TRS rocks
