Trim package?

By going on what ive read about trim packages my truck fits in nowhere. My truck is the XLT but i have 16'' rims with a black bumper and black grill and fog lights. Did ford just kind of throw a mix of everything in there?

are the rims the stock style? could be that a previous owner did all that stuff

You might see if the factory build sheet is in the vehicle or request one from ford.

mine is just like it and i think it is factory.

i have the 16 inch wheels with black bumpers and the XLT package. You do have to remember that this is Ford with their better ideas.

i believe its all factory. i bought it in 2000 with 20,000 miles on it.

Is it flat black or gloss black?

Flat would sound like a base truck (XL) gloss would be a little fancier and might have came with an XLT.

But then a couple years ago somebody on here posted a week after they got a new truck that they noticed they had one gray interior door panel and one tan one.

I don't even have an XL or XLT badge anywhere on my 99. It's 3.0, auto, 4x4, supercab, tow package (missing the hitch), no cd player, no tint, body color bumpers, grey grille, and manual windows/locks/mirrors.

Is your truck painted black? The Sport Package at that time got you body color bumpers and grille and 16" wheels on a 4wd. The Sport was an option on the XLT.
