tricks to squeeze out a few more MPG?

My mileage on my 1988 extened cab 2wd 2.3L 5 speed was always about 24 to 25mpg.It did not seem to matter how I drove it.
Do not forget tire pressure.And the timing, like was already stated,if your truck has a lot of miles on it the cat could be clogged.
