treadwright retreads

i was reading about treadwright ultra-grip 2 retreads in the august 09 four wheeler magazine and they say they are cheap and as safe as new tires. does any one have any experience with retread mud tires, and are they reliable?

I'm running a set of 235/75R15 ATs on my truck with the ultra grip.
They are insane in the winter. I plow with my truck and the locker does well, but i wanted a lil something extra.
dry pavement is just nuts, they hook and go.
wet pavement is much better. I used to get my ass end to slide all over the place, its hard to do anymore.
I drove somewhere when it was icing out and didn't realize how bad it was till i got there and went to get out and almost busted my ass.
i know the price has gone up a lil, but i paid about $65 a tire + about $75 to ship all 4 of them fedex.
they are balanced before they are molded, so they are almost perfect when you get them. I'm running about 3oz of airsoft pellets in each tire w/ no wheel weights.
my only complaint is the foot print. its huge. i've got them at about 50psi to reduce it, its almost where i want it.
all in all, i love them and plan to get another set when these wear down.

sounds like a great deal. i have one more question bout them, what kind of condition do the tires sidewalls have to be in, and is the tire useable if it has a plug in it? im asking cuz im thinkin of looking for a set of used tires cheap where the tread is shot and sending them out there to get them retreaded.

I don't think they do that, i could be wrong. after shipping to, the work and shipping back, you'd probably be better off just buying them outright from them and have them shipped to you.
one of their claims is the the old tired get stored vertically to prevent damage to the casing. most tired get stacked on their sides, which will crush them. just something to think about.

I have the mud terrain 33"s on one of my BII. I have nothing bad to say.

Cannot beat the price. I have put about 15,000 miles on them, and they are still holding up well, I bet I'll get another 10-15000 out of them.
