so is the a4ld the same transmission as the 4r44e because i i have the 4rr4e in my ranger its a 97 and it looks like they dont come with the a4ld in this later year

I know this is The Ranger Station, but we don't even know if that's what this cat has. From the sound of it, this dude is loco so anything's possible. My suggestion? Slow the hell down - problem solved! My Ranger is governed to 91, by the way.

Your speedo is off, the factory governed speed on '98-up Rangers
is 89mph.
