Indeed I have electronic push-button 4x4.
What do you mean by straight-stick or curved-stick?
Would it add too much trouble if I swapped my 2.9L engine to a 4.0L engine, too? Over the summer, time is one thing I have plenty of. I suppose if I find a good donor I might do that too.
So I will begin looking for a 91-2000 Ranger or Explorer with 4x4 as a donor. Maybe a trip to the j/y this week.
Thanks.
the stick question is pretty straight forward. Is your transmission shifter straight, or does it curve at the bottom and angle back towards the seat?
As for the 4.0 swap, probably not too much trouble actually. You will already have half of the work done. You will need every scrap of wire out from under the donor's hood, but it should be plug and play to the dash harness.
But by every scrap of wire, I mean every scrap, the ignition control harness is part of the headlight harness.
