1987 B2 2.9l Wont shift into reverse when i put it in reverse you can here it spinning but nothing. But before it wouldn't go into reverse i could here a load wining noise cumming from the trans and thought it was cumming from out side so i paid no attention to it.
Then when i put it into park it grinds before going into park. But when i put it in drive then put it in park it does not do any grinding, unless i try to put it in reverse and then to park.
Any body know what it could mean and is it a easy fix so i don't have to pull the trans out and rebuild or do a 5 speed swap.
