Hi Folks, I found 2 Rangers with the 2.9 motor and both transmissions work well. One is an 1986 Automatic on the floor and the other is an 1990 Automatic on the column. Both have the 1-2-3&Overdrive. My question is, will they both fit in my 1988 2.9 Automatic on the floor 1-2-3&Overdrive? Will the linkage from the 1990 still fit to my 1988? Lastly, is there a difference if the transmissions are in 2 wheel drive truck vs. 4 wheel drive trucks like mine is? I thank you for any responses.
