Will a M50d transmission out of a 1993 ranger with a 3.0 bolt up to my 1991 explorer 4.0? I can get it for cheep and was wondering.

No, 4.0, 2.9 and 2.8s share the same bellhousing pattern, 3.0s and 2.3s have their own bellhousings.
