Transmission alignment pins

Hi, I was wondering what I could use to make new alignment dowel pins for my engine. I took them out so I could mount the engine on the stand, but it ruined them pretty badly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

They are very important parts
They line up crank shaft center line with transmission's input shaft center line, if its off by even a little, best case is front seal on transmission leaks, worst case is transmission failure

If you have at least part of an old one to get diameter then auto parts store may be able to match it

You shouldn't have needed to remove them. One of the sets of arms should have had a stand-off large enough for the dowel to fit inside.

If you do have to remove them thread with a 1/2 tap, but a bolt inside, and just a slide hammer.
