Transmission advice

Will someone tell me if a 98 Ranger 3L 4x4 manual transmission will bolt onto my 92 Ranger 4L 4x4? From what I read on TRS it looks like it will but I want to double check before I buy anything.

A 3.0 trans won't bolt to anything but a 3.0.

And sadly, you cant really use many of the parts out of the 4.0 box. If it were a 2.0, 2.3, 2.9, or a 3.0 (of course) you could go ahead and buy it, and just swap any parts you needed into it.

The 4.0 will volt to the 2.9, but the 2.9 and the 4.0 trans have different ratios to deal with the different torque curves of the motors. I have a 4.0 trans behind my 2.9 right now. Its a dog.
