Transmission a deep pan or shallow pan filter?

Hello all!

Great site.. I have learned alot so far..

I was going to change the fluid and filter in my Ranger:

2000 Ford Ranger
4.0
4X4

5 Speed Auto


But when I looked at autozone for a filter it said Shallow Pan or Deep Pan?

Which would mine be?

I *think* 4wds use a deep pan and 2wds use a shallow pan. Not positive though.

Do you think the Auto Parts store will know? I looked in my Haynes book but it didn't even mention that there was 2 different types of pans..
