Transfer case not engaging 4 low

I managed to induce some confusion in my last post by typing 2L instead of 4L. sorry 'bout that.

OK, specific question:
with the shift motor removed, if you rotate the shaft to 4L and leave it there, leave the shift motor off, does the
transfer case go into 4L? drive it a few feet to align the gears.
if yes, does it come back out if you rotate the shaft back?
Yes, nothing mechanically wrong, I have now replaced all the components with no effect other than I have a lot less money to put towards building a mechanical way of shifting, which is now my goal and my question as , I see zero options, just the 900$ job that I would rather put towards a new truck

I am imagining carving something out of fucking wood

Dang. I have no idea except whatever is internal is messed up

Well, I have given up hope of fixing the electric shifter, looking for mechanical options, the only thing i see is a 900$ rig. Any ideas?

I have the shift motor off, and it won’t go, I can shift it by hand, which is what i will be doing in the future until i find a new rig, i can’t believe the amount of electrical crap that goes into rotating this stupid shaft!! Just to sell parts? Greed does usually explain everything, fucking bullshitt!!
