Ok im sorry but no one looks in the transmission threads so im gonna put this here cuz i need some feed back. Basically i need a tranny for my 1994 Ranger 4x4 4.0l. I found a 2000 ranger 2wd 5 speed so could i use that in my truck? Will 2wd trannys work? Will a 3.0 transmission interchange with my 4.0? Whats the latest year i could use to interchange with mine? Anything else im missing here? Please help no ride!

Questions get answered when I have time to answer them

a 2wd transmission will not work in a 4x4.
a 3.0 transmission will NOT work any beter than a 4cyl transmission will.

As for what years will fit? I already answered that in the tranmission forum.
