trans blows fuse when shifting into 4 gear

My 1988 ranger has a rebuildt trans by amco (and is still under warrenty) it will not operate in fourth gear according to amco when it shifts into 4 it blows a fuse.

It will run in all other gears, amco said its not trans problem but is an electrical problem. I beleive it may be the 3-4 shift solonid. How do I check this out and how would I find out if this was part of the rebuild or should it have been part of the rebuild. or could it be something other that the shift solonid, any information will be appresicated
