tranny problem 4.0L to a 3.0L

I would like to know if anyone know's if a 4.0L engine would fit on a manual 3.0L tranny. thanks

prolly but youd run into a balancing issue, the tranny is round, and kinda tapered, and the motor has the odd shape oil pan, but maybe give it a try and let us know it works out

Negative, the 4.0L and 3.0L use different bellhouse bolt patterns.

and the clutch housing is part of the trans case on the m5od

2.3 bolts to 2.3, 3.0 only bolts to front wheel drive 3.8 and 3.0, 2.8 2.9 and 4.0 ohv and 4.0 sohc bolt together, and rear wheel drive 3.8, 5.0 and 5.7 windsor bolt.
