i got a 92 ranger with the a4ld and trying to make life easyer for it since it doesnt take long to burn my tranny fluid with the 33" tires. i am about to put the 3rd tranny cooler on and wondering if its too much?i did get it for cheap since my bro works at lordco.i have the stock cooler plus 2 flex a lite 7.5"x15"x3/4".i did find out that the tranny fluid get burning hot when im 4bying hard since you have the tranfercase adding heat.i do have 1 oil cooler but i dont want to add another since it thickens the viscosity of the oil if too cool and app. a cold engine take more gas.

What kind of gearing you have in the axles? I ran 35's with 3.55's for a while in my 91 with an a4ld while i was waiting for my 4.56;s and I never had any problems with burning fluid.

You should look into a transmission oil temperature gauge. This will let you know if your trans is getting too hot or if it is staying too cool. Your trans temp should be greater than 160*F but less than 195*F.
