TPMS Sensor - 2011 Ranger

Taking my 2004 FX4 rims to have tires mounted and balanced, and would like to get a set of TPMS sensors tossed in them.

Definitely not springing for the Motorcraft ones at $300+ for a set of four.

Recommendations on a set of good aftermarket ones?

Or, which frequency sensor does a 2011 use?

Autel -$29.99 each. 315mhz. Most aftermarket units have both frequencies anyway though. I know the Autels do.

Petroleumjunkie412- You can shut off the TPMS light? I am intrigued. I was considering a new set of rims and did not want to spring for TMPS sensors. They are almost as much as the rims.

Dirtman- I may have exaggerated a little bit. I remember when I was going to buy rims and tires from tire rack, they wanted almost 200 bucks for sensors when purchasing.

Forscan has the ability to modify the pressure at which the light comes on. Set the pressure to zero and you functionally delete the TPMS system. However it would still freak out about a lack of sensors.

TPMS light will flash for the first 30 seconds, then be on. Depending on the model it may also throw a message up in the display saying "TPMS Fault".

I need to get new tires on the escape for winter, may see if I can take dash apart and tape over that damn light. Wish the seat belt/key chime could be disabled as easy as the 94 ranger was. Hate that crap. Im not about to buy tpms sensors, I have a tire guage and know to pay attention to the tires.

I just don't understand the logic in disabling a perfectly useful system that doesn't have any negative aspects besides costing you 80 bucks to replace maybe every 10 years at most. You gain nothing by removing it. You can't check your tire pressure with a guage while driving down the highway, but the TPMS sensor can and warn you of a leak in time to pull over and fix it safely. That's a bad thing? Spend the damn money and fix it right.
