where exactly on rangers is the tpms located. on the wheel? in the valve stem? if on the wheel is it ever a problem when switching to different rims? thanks

They are attached to the rim using a big band strap (like a big hose clamp)

If you get new rims, you will need to get new straps to attach the sensors to the new wheels (also a bit of double sided tape to hold em in place)

thanks. i thought so but i wanted to be sure

I used to work at a tire shop and ya you have to order new bands directly from ford... Unfortunately ford didnt do the valve stem style which can easily be swapped into new rims without costing you more money!
