Toyota Tacoma

Plus, I think the buyback only applies if you owned the truck before the buybacks started. So if you buy a rotted Tacoma now, you may be SOL.

Page Two, Question Four, 5th bullet down. From what that states it sounds like if you are a second, third,... owner you'll still qualifie for the buyback.

I had no idea that tacoma's even had this problem. I knew that the older trucks you see going down the road with the body panels all rotted out were just typical of early japanise poor metal quality. I'm glad they've got the problem figgured out with the 2000+ models. I would be looking for 2005+ Taco anyways, but i'll defantly be inspecting the frame for rust.

Ranger's usually resale for much less than taco's, have you checked craigslist? I can find all kinds of ranger's for sale around here, and I'm just a few miles south of the WI-IL border...

I'm not one big for online sales. I've seen to many people get burned because of scams

Ttora.com is pritty good but doesnt even come close as TRS as far as knowledge about the truck they specalise in. Thank you jim o.

I bought my ranger through craigslist for exactly that reason. I had my heart set on a Yota for 2 years, but a tacoma from the same year with the same feature set as my truck would've cost me about twice as much. So I decided to get a ranger, still an absolutely fantastic truck and I can afford to make it a reality instead of just a dream.

I wasn't talking about all non-original owners, but people who bought the trucks after the buyback program already started. I don't think they are covered.

I'm not talking about on line sales. I would never do that either. Craigslist is like a newspaper ad. You see the ad, call the guy, go look at it, and then buy it if you want. More rangers (and probably more tacos too) get listed on craigslist every day than autotrader and ebay combined. You are missing out on a huge portion of used trucks for sale by avoiding craigslist.

Thought this pic was kind of funny...

Just check for the rot. Wash the truck after driving through salt. Reliable trucks.
