notice the top one is a Ford motor Company product. So how come Ford is not infront of congress..........

look at the percentages, it is a non-issue.

I THINK I have figured this out!

Why is Toyota getting so much B.S. over this problem? simple.... Toyota is NON-UNION!!!! The big politicians that are paid off by the UAW has some special interest in DESTROYING Toyota ON BEHALF OF THE UAW!!!

Toyota in the end may be punished JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT UAW UNIONIZED!!!!!

Makes sense? It sure does!:icon_surprised:

What is really surprising is that GM doesn't even appear until half way down the list...

Yup, they're not unionized plus the govt owns GM and see a chance to hurt the competition. Every Toyota sold is potentially a GM car that was not sold.

If I was Toyota, i would be pointing this all out.........

What is even MORE ironic is that Toyota is JUST AS DOMESTIC as GM, they build the cars, HERE. So hurting Toyota will further hurt American jobs!

you know, congress can try to rake Toyota over the coals all they want, but in the end, Toyota can close all their plants, put hundreds of thousands of workers out of a job and leave .......

Didn't you know that the government loves to send jobs overseas. Like that 8.3 billion dollar loan Obama guaranteed for building some nuclear reactors. But is outsourcing them. LINK

Take another look at those numbers. Yes Ford has the top spot, but Toyota has the next 5 spots. In fact they have 55% of the top 20, and 50% of the top 10. That's the reason they are getting dragged around. Now, I'm not defending these congressional hearings they are a load of BS designed to make the public think they are doing something.

does not change the fact that the Lincoln Town car is at the top.

Where are the Crown Vic and Grand Marquis? Aren't they more or less the same car?

Yes they are... The Grand Marquis is near the top but the CV is down in the 40s. The problems must be with some luxury item that the lincolns and mercurys get but not the fords?

It is also strange that these cars are having issues because Ford had the bugs worked out of them a long time ago.

They are also some of my favorite cars. My parents had a 99. It was just about at 200,000 miles and still running like new when my mom totaled it when she hit a 1200 lb black angus cow standing in the middle of the road at night. She was going about 50 mph when she hit the cow. The cow rolled up the hood, over the cabin, and came down on the trunk lid hard. The cabin didn't deform at all - you could still open and close all the doors like it had never happened. Of course my mom walked away from it without a scratch. The only reason the poor thing was totaled was because both air bags deployed. The officer that responded kept telling her over and over how lucky she was to be driving that car and not something smaller.

Anyways, that's my favorite personal CV story.

Someday I'll get an LX sport and put a suped-up 5.4L in it :icon_welder: :icon_hornsup:

My buddy had a black Lincoln Towncar executive series. That was a nice car. Would leave a nice set of tire marks if he wanted too.
