Toyo-koygo 4-speed

Does anyone have an idea on how much power the toyo-koygo 4-speed can handle? Or if theirs some where I can buy aftermarket internals to handle up to like 500+ hp??? In advance thank you for the help

I dont know the exact specs its rated for, but i would guess seeing as how they were designed to handle at best a 140hp 2.9 (the TK5 is basically the same), figure in the pretty basic 20% "safety margin" built into factory parts, id say 160-165hp is about all they would handle under ideal conditions.

There is also zero aftermarket for the TK4/5 aside from basic rebuild parts.

Well being that I Wana stay with a 4-speed I guess I will have to look for something better. But thanks any way

T5 from a 4 cylinder mustang would be a good swap.

To handle that kind of power youll need something built.
