My current modern dream truck is a 7.3 reg cab 4wd with a 4.30 gear.

What is included in the Tow Package? I saw it as an option for $495 on the build sheet. I just ordered a Ranger XLT and left the tow pack off. I plan to add a 7500lb hitch and lighting connector myself.

Without the tow package the truck is only legally rated to haul something like 3000 or 3500 lbs, so keep that in mind. Even if you install a 7500lb hitch your still limited to the trucks factory rating.

I towed my Corvette to Nashville last month which included a long section up a mountain. The Ranger pulled it without any problems. Fuel mileage dropped to 13 MPG, which isn’t too bad.
