I'm about to put my body lift on my 2003 Ranger. I've heard the lift will remove my tow hooks. I don't have a hitch on the truck right now, so if I get stuck wheeling or need to pull someone out I my tow hooks are my only option. Once I put the lift on, should I weld the tow hooks to the frame? or would it be a better idea to buy a hitch?

I dont know why a body lift should remove your tow hooks... it just lifts the body off the frame a few inches. your towhooks should stay where they are which is bolted to the frame.

They get in the way of the bumper valance....so you either have to cut the valance, or remove the front tow hooks.

get a hidden hitch and a d ring for the front thats what i hid. ive got pictures somewhere ill try to find. there are actual manufactired recievers for this perpouse bit i just used one off a Chevy 1500 and cut and welded it to fit. i liked the way it came forward farther than the ranger designed on did
