I tow good bit. Mainly construction equipment. the skid steers and backhoes i tow are a good 10k with the trailer and 18k total with the truck. All i trust my ranger with is a landscape trailer with one mower on it.
But i think your ranger could do short trips here and there. just be real careful. people are sue happy these days
My parents own a rental yard. our insurance company doesnt even let us let even 1/2 tons take equipment like skid steers. They say 3/4 ton only. which i think is stupid for some of the things, but a great idea for others
