This was the first real tow test for my truck. I have hauled a couple mud trucks and scrape but this is the first real weight. Its between 16 and 18000pds.

hauled it 45 miles

What is that? It looks like a small log skidder.

its a pettibone log skidder. My buddy is a logger so I hauled it home for him in trade got some parts for my mud truck.

That machine weighs 14,000#. I'd say you were closer to the 18,000#. Those are awesome offroad vehicles.

Articulating in the forest means never having to say you're sorry.

No matter the weight its still the most I have ever towed and the weight I said is going of the owner so I have no clue but i know i was over weight for dot but screw them

i used to run a C6 skidder like this one for my old man. Ive taken those things places and through $hit that i couldnt even dream of taking my ranger.

that's a dodge in the pic

back in 2003 or 04 (the truck was a dodge 1-ton 2003 crew with diesel and automatic) my dad was hauling up to 27k lbs total weight between trailer and 3 car hauler(got close to 30k once or twice) it can haul more)

sad part the weeklink in the dodge was the auto tranny, went out in 04 with 110k miles, and we replace the truck with an 04 f350 with the 6.0, had to add airbags to be able to tow the weight.

this was the trailer he was using

people just dont know the capabilities of 1-ton

well I have a manual 6spd. One of are big bogs up here uses log skidders as pull rigs they can get out to just about anyone. they are almost a must when over half of the trucks are 44" tires or bigger
