Torsion Bar strength

I was told a while ago that Sport Trac torsion bars are stiffer than Ranger bars, if you want to try that.

Most Sport Tracs come with #1 bars....the same bars come in FX4 models and are the stiffest, heaviest duty available.

well i have an 03 FX4 (not Level II) so would you assume I already have those?

Look at the tag inside your driver's side door....under the spring (Spr) abbreviation, it will have a 2 letter code. The first number/letter will be the torsion bars, the second will be leaf springs.
