Toreadorranger Build...2 years in the making

All I could do was face plant when I read that you are changing the axle types.

How will a pass side pumpkin effect stuff, if at all?

I'll say now, I couldnt go almost 4 years without driving my ranger.

The passenger side diff, will force me to get creative with my transfercase. Ill either have to figure out an adapter so I can run a d300 or something similar or buy an Atlas 2.

Run a devorced transfercase, seems to be the easiest. I would keep your current set-up, looks like you have put alot of time into it seeing it has chevy and ford stuff on a waggy axle that are some of the best combos you could do to it.

Im not big on the divorced Tcase setup. I would rather spend the money on an Atlas at that point.

My current 1/2 ton setup was a setup that was born out of the idea that I was going to DD this truck when I started. That is obviously not the case. With no DDing in its future it seems pointless to continue to build it as such.

This has grown into a much bigger project then originally planned and I would hate to finish it and say, damn I should have gone with 1 tons and been done with it. Last thing I want to do is get it closer to being done, (when ever that may be), and wish I had done something different.

1 tons were always the ultimate goal anyways, it was just not in the cards at the time when I started.

Yup, thats why my last 'upgrade' turned into a total overhaul.

I'd look into doubling the D300 behind the stock case. D&D machine was talking about it on pirate, and he may even have that combo available.

My main problem with that is, by the time I buy a $500 doubler setup and a D300 with some mods to it. I would probably be a couple hundred shy of an atlas2.

Still only get 2 gears with the Atlas though. Around here selection is worth as much as anything else. Need to crawl the rocks and wheelspeed the mud... but you know this!

The strength of an atlas is what is the most appealing.

An atlas is an aftermarket transfercase, like a Stak. Billet aluminum case, and some fairly HD gears. It's also the only aftermarket case available for the RBV's, running stock drivetrain.

I've always been in Alberta, just moved recently from Red Deer back to Edmonton.

hmmmm oh theres someone who has the same looking truck flexing on a ramp for a building with a close name i think...

Picked up a new set of 16" 300# Eibach lower springs for my coil overs on sunday. Im hoping to get the 1/2 ton axles out from under the truck and clean them up a bit and ready for sale soon.

So Toreadorranger are you doing an exo-cage or interior cage with that 1.75 x .120 wall, that's a lot of straight body panels on that thing. Should be fun as shit to wheel though and with a Supercharger shesh does the 3.8 charger bolt on the 4.0 or custom everything?

Full interior cage, connected to a tube bed. The supercharger is a custom setup. The two motors dont share any parts.
