Yo,
I downloaded google maps for my HTC windows mobile phone. The cool thing is that now I don't have to pay ATT to use the "mapping feature".

I use the telenav on my blackberry.. Its just like a garmin but my phone updates the app all the time

Hey that's pretty nifty!

I hate TomTom GPS units. If you ever try a Garmin, you will too.

I do like that you can change the icon to a custom one though.

Am I the only person that still uses an atlas?

I received a Garmin (2007 model) and do NOT like it at all. I'm tech saavy, and it just turns out to be more trouble than it's worth. In an emergency, pulling off and looking at Google maps on my cell phone is better...

FlyingBrick, I think a lot of kids/teenage drivers these days can't read a map to save their life. Some will look at you in bewilderment if you tell them, "Go north on Interstate X..."

I think everyone would carry an atlas or key map of some sort...

Oh, one more thing...

My brother has the Navigon. Cheaper, more user friendly, just as many options, and quicker with coordinates / pinpointing directions w/ uploading features for updates.

I think it's pretty good.
