Todays weather

Temps have been higher than normal around here for the last few months. I've really enjoyed it. Today temps are down below seasonal and will be for at least a couple weeks. Dammit! Guess its time to do taxes....

Yeah we went up to Ainsworth hot springs out side of Nelson and we went early so we drove over to Castlegar. Usually theres more snow but there was none in Castlegar. Nelson had as much as we do in Sandpoint Idaho. Straight up weird year. We are getting hit now, but usually we have had something by now..... We go to Ainsworth hotsprings 3-4 times in the winter. We really like it, Its really not that different from northern Idaho.

that's odd, here in Toledo it's dark and about 34 degrees

it was 68 when i left for work at 0500 this morning. supposed to be 83 when i go home this afternoon

The day after tomorrow is now today...

It took longer to switch to snow than they thought I think, about 2" of frozen slush (which is now ice) and 4-6" of snow is my rating.

Super stickey heavy snow, a big tree branch came down and barely missed the house. Its blowing now, at times I could barely see past the end of the hood of my truck on the way into work. Passed a state snowplow in the ditch which is always encouraging. There was another one there with a strap and it looked like they were having a jolly good time trying to drag the one out.

started snowing before dawn. maybe an inch of wet slush then the temperature warmed up changing the snow to rain and now all the snow is gone.

While I miss the snow I do not miss commuting in conditions like that. It's hard to explain what it's like to some of the people down here that have never even seen snow before. Of course it's hard to explain the relentless heat & humidity in the summertime to friends up North too.

It snowed a bit overnight... wet heavy stuff. It was 34 degrees a bit ago.

But it's coming down hard right now... expected to snow all day until around 9pm.

Guess we will see where we end up...

had heavy snow on the way into work , roads were a slushy mess. Turned to rain about 7am and has been raining the rest of the day.

-5°F, and we got a couple inches of snow last night. It's a little crazy on the roads as the snow is packing into ice and as it is below 0 F, salt doesn't do a thing. It will be like this until at least the weekend.

-36C or -32F
RV living at its finest....
If you ever have to heat with propane at these temperatures, wrap a battery blanket around the propane tank and plug it in. It really helps...
