I Just pulled My carpet out to wash it and i noticed my drivers side floorboard is pretty rotted out so i decided to cut it out and make a new one and weld that in...than i thought to myself if i put the carpet back in isnt it just gonna rot out eventually again? so i think im gonna get it rhino lined or do a roll on liner....just wanted to see what some of your gus opinions would be.

I did a Hippo liner roll on bed liner kit on my interior after pulling my carpet. Love it. No more soggy carpets that smell, and its super easy to clean. If you prep it well it will outlast the truck.

i plan on doing this to my interior this spring. I need to find a good way to deal with the wires though.

gotta be careful with that stuff. good idea yes but you cant weld or torch that stuff

if u dont plan to weld to it go for it

I would do that then cover it with a rubber floor mat for heat/sound dampening.

i have to do the same thing im goin to go and use the roll shit to stop the rust and get rid of the mold smell

I used herculiner and just brushed it on. came out good. smell is gone after about a month

Is there a benefit to roll on or brush on as opposed to spray on?

And what exactly do you guys do with the wires. Good question chico.

for the wires, I would either run C chanel over the wires to protect them. You could line the c-chanel to match the floor too. But make sure the C-chanel is screwed down or something so you can take it back up if need be.

Or, I would line the floor, put the wires back in, then put floor mats or the factory rubber floor back in. I haven't done this yet, its just my 2 cents.

If your hootus is exposed, you probably shouldn't rhinoline it.

If the wires are properly insulated...I mean no cracks, or anything. is it feasible to drill and route any wires under the cab(outside)? And is it possible to locate them so they arent exposed to possible friction damage...IE crawling across a big rock and cutting/pinching the wires to death?
