To EGR or to not EGR

Starts hard

Ok so I got the crown150 motor running, went to start it and would'nt crank, bypassed starter relay and started right up. Runs Good! Put in a new starter relay and now cranks with key but won't start. Bypass relay, starts right up:icon_confused: Supose Iv'e got a bad connection some where??:dunno: Thanks again!!

Sounds good, we don't have sniffers here so won't even get cats in pipes, will keep o2s though. I did find a 90 deg elbow in summit that would face the T/B forward instead of the side. Might give it a try.:icon_idea:

Cats is a federal law hollowed out are ok as long as they are there just so you know.

Havent gotten to the exhaust yet, will probably put dummies in though.

Wrong. Don't give misinformation please. Hollowed out is illegal, same as if they weren't there. Also, you will notice ZERO benefit from not having catalytic converters. You will have a smelly exhaust though which is a good clue to any cops or inspectors in a bad mood.

A non-functioning cat is just as bad as a not having a cat. That said I think the only time a cop or anybody else that might care will see the underside of your truck in Nebraska is if you roll it... and at that point they wouldn't care.

Your right about that, here in the boonies you have to wear you'r seat belt or you'r helmet on a bike but if you'r pumpin smoke out the tail pipe nobody cares. As long as you aren't settin the ditches on fire you'r good to go:icon_rofl:

this is true......dead cats stink a LOT.....that's why I put 2 new ones in when I changed over to dual exhausts......

then I added a V-8 to make up for the loss of power.......:icon_rofl:

Finaly got back to checking it out a little closer, if I crank with the key it has no spark untill I let off but crank at the relay with key on & it has good spark. Ive checked every ground and connection I can think of including power to the TFI & coil and all is good. I'm starting to think I have an amp draw problem:icon_confused: Anny ideas? I'd like to get it to start good before going to the exhaust shop.
