Well i was planning on putting a 4" suspension lift on my 93 extended cab 4x4 4.0 so i could fit 33"s. Well i think i have come to find out its not that easy. Im going to have to do the suspension then maybe change the driveshaft only if it vibrates and then in order to get it to have any pickup and not be sluggish because of the big tires im going to have to change the gearing. WOW!!!! Can anyone in the same situation shine some light on this. I have been searching this site like crazy but just don't know. any help does this all have to be done?

Sounds like youve got your ducks in a row.

You dont "need" to swap out your shaft. Youll just have some vibration issues when taking off.

You dont "need" to regear.... I suggest you drive without regearing first, then make your own decision.

If you want to do it right, then do it right. If you want to cut corners, then dont do it. Your truck, your decision, ya know?

You may have the gearing stock for the 33's. Look at the tag on the diff to find out what you have.
