tired 87 2.3 swap with 99 2.3

i have a chance to pickup a 99 2.3l complete low mile engine and am wondering if it is a direct swap for my 87? bolt up or adapters needed, wiring etc. mine is a 5 spd.

since 98- early 01 it was a 2.5
and ull need the complete wiring harness and ecu to make it work. also the gauges and no. the tranny wont bolt unless u have an m5od. wich started in 88 if im not wrong.

If it's a car 2.3L, I think those were different.

engine swap

what engines are bolt in compatable with 87 2.3l 4x4 5spd . current engine runs well but uses gobs of oil. havent run comp test but pretty its rings.
