I've got a basic 2023 with the 2.3 and 4x4. It has the 16" steel wheels and at this time, stock tire size. I do a decent amount of towing and hauling (car trailers, tandem axle enclosed trailers, and tandem axle 29' camper) So far my hauling ability has been great. seems to hold speed well, has plenty of go for what I would expect out of this truck. But I've been thinking about going up in tire size. From the stock 255/70R16 to 265/75R16. Its about an 1.5" increase in diameter and a .4" increase in width.

I understand tire size changes in the sense of more weight and diameter torque changes. But I'm wondering if there is anyone out there with real experience with a similar change and similar towing. How much will I notice this. Will it become annoying maintaining highway speeds and getting up to those speeds. Is this going to feeling pretty sluggish? I don't have the kind of money to not use a set of tires I purchase. If I get them, they will be on there until they wear out.

Knee-jerk reaction, a modern powertrain will not gaf. You're fine. Don't those things have a 10-speed trans that's actually halfway competent?

At a given speed, in a given gear, the change will drop you <200rpm.

You didn't say what any of your stuff weighs. If you're right on the ragged edge of what the truck's rated to pull, then I might care, but it also depends on why that's where the rating is.

I ran 275 wide 32" tall tires on my 21 when I had it and it had *zero* problem towing anything. 300ft lbs is more than enough to move itself around at max capacity all day, especially with the 10spd.
