Hey guys. Needed some help. I have a 97 ranger with a 302 in it and I'm trying to decide if I wanna go with the big tire rugged look or if I wanna lower it and go for the muscle stance with the fat tires out back and smaller ones up front. If I go with the rugged look, I'm wanting to go with 31x10.5x15s. I'm not going to raise my truck at all so I'm wondering if those will fit on stock suspension. Can u guys post some pics with those tires on stock suspension and also some pics of lowered trucks so I can decide on a stance? Thanks everyone.

2wd?

go low with 24's and a wing on the roof with dual stacks....

Im running those tires. You can look in my album for a better pic. Mine is 4x4 though and is lifted a little stock.

=================
15X5 fronts with 215/75's
15X12 rears with 28X15.50's
Front is stock.....rear has been setup like Explorer (springs under frame) and the 8.8 has been narrowed 3".:icon_twisted:

Damn those r some thick meats. I'm looking for street tires that will fill the wheel wells a bit. I think a 295/60/15 would be good but can't find a street radial that size only drag radials.

Yup, size 31x10.5x15 easily fit on the stock 4x4 without any rubbing. Is yours 2WD or 4x4?

I'd like to find some taller ones, but not in the cards just yet, as I have quite a bit of room left to fill.......

Hey cvar mine is a 2wd. 31x10.5x15tores r also on my mind. Not sure if they will rub at all with stock suspension. If I can find me some tall and wide street tires I may go for the sporty look. I don't want to really lower my truck which is why I want a little taller of a tire. Does anyone make a 295/60/15 street tire? That would probably fill out nicely for width and height in the rear.

I hear u chvlfrk. Ur tires look good width wise. Could go a little taller but what size would u go with to get width like that and a little more height?

Some 30x15.50.......I do have a set of worn out slicks that are 32x15.50 on 15x13 steelies, but can't run them on the street since my TOY does draw unwanted attention sometimes:icon_surprised:.

Lol yea I hear that. I also have a 98 cobra that's built. Draws attention as well. It's got 275/60/15s on it. I am going to pull them off and put them on the back of the ranger just to see how they would look.

31x10.50x15 will fit a 2wd just fine with stock suspension and wheels.

If you want to go wider for tires youll need a deeper offset wheel in the front to complete full lock turns.

I run 31x10.50s on all my 2wd Rangers and there is plenty of room to spare in the rear of the truck because of the stock rake to the 1993-1997 years. You would need to lower the rear about 2 inches for a 31x10.50 to fill it out nicely. Ive shoved 35s in the rear of my 2wd before it looked filled out.

Hey bigmark thanks for the advice. I actually flipped my rear shackles already so that brought the rear down a little and leveled it out with the front. Do u have any pics of any 97 rangers with 31x10.5x15s? Worse comes to worse I may try and stuff 32s under it lol.
