the stock tires are 255/70/16 ,they are approx 30.1 in,how much larger can of a tire can fit without modifying chassie? for instance 235/85/16 is about 31.75 in,thanks

I can tell you that a 265/75r16 will rub the inner fender liners at full lock when turning.

We tried this combo at work, and it still rubbed with the torsion bars cranked to the max. The 08 and newer rangers sit lower from the factory.

Thanks,that's 31.64 in, i'll stay away from that size[265/75/16]

I had 265/70-16's on my old '02 with just a t-bar crank and they fit fine.
The stock tires rubbed at full lock before the t-bar crank.
