Tire groovers

I have been looking at some tire groovers for sale online. I seem to find two different price ranges. $50 to $70 and $300 to $400. I know the more expensive are obviously better.

I guess what I am asking has anyone used the cheap ones and with what kind of results?

Will they last long enough to do more than a couple of tires?

Any recomondations on brand or place to buy?

I bought the 60 dollar ideal groover. Works good.

The cheap ones last, but you arms gonna get tired (no pun intended) of pushing it through tires, and it takes a while to heat back up. My buddy had one, and finally upgraded to a really nice ($$$) one. It used to take me around an hr per 250 cuts, or your average 31" All terrain. With the new one, we did 4 39.5" TSL swampers in an hr.

Here's some examples;

1. Here's a before and after of a 235/85r16 A/T that took an hr with the cheapy.

2. Here's some 9.00x16 XL's done in about an hr.
