timing retard controller 2008 ranger 4L

Greetings friends:
I am in DESPERATE need of a 'Timing Retard Controller" for my 2008 Ranger 4L (4x4). I am trying to get it to run off of pure h2, and i need to retard the timing but am unable to find any harnesses or equipment that supports my ranger.


Where can a product like this be purchase? Any ideas/contact info?

Well, that ignition system is an EDIS system controlled 100% by the PCM. Your best bet to retard the timing is to get a programmer or a custom tune.

I have to say though, that as far as I understand H2 systems, your actual current "need" is far from "desperate".

Do you know any systems (computer/edi) that can take full control the PCM successfully?


.... does this means that I can control the spark timing strictly with software?

Just go to a dyno shop, they can re-program it. I'm lucky, there's one right up the street from my dad's place.
