Timing jumped?

i was runnin a ballast, before i got my front clip back together after the swap that got smoked.. got mad and bought a coil i ddnt need any resistors for. I actually fried the complete ingition i still got the point somewere i actually melted the plastic arm that rides on the distributor friends tried sayin it was from heat but the engine would run in 2 min intervals till i got the front clip together, in all since i did the swap replacin points become second nature to me... i change my jeans i gotta go out n change my points to....

well guys wanna thank you for the help weather finally broke enough to mess w/ my rig and the points eliminator kit solved it all thank god, ill be sleepin well tonight. its amazing how a condensor dont work out the box but no more of them games. ( i made it a point to throw the points as far as i could out in the field) just wanted to fiill ya in on the out come. bought a campsite at offroad park and was startin to get a lil tense bout not bein able to go openin weekend... Thanks again!!!

If you want simple and dependable get a duraspark dizzy and wire in the HEI 4 wire module and use a coil that runs on battery voltage preferably TFI stock ford coil that way you will be able to use the motorcraft plugs for the V-8 and have the heat range correct. All the spark you will ever need and you can keep a spare module in the glove box for plug and play repairs.

nice link thanks for the link i could of done that cheaper than the accel conversion kit but life is an experiance
