2.3L ('83-'97) Timing cover

I have an 85 T-bird 2.3l turbo engine in my Ranger. The timing cover is gone and I was wondering if a 91 2.3l timing cover would work and be accurate to set timing?

You are looking at a new custom timing pointer to improve the appearance of that show car that does not use the front part of timing cover. In the past many enthusiasts would just cut the plastic from cover down and this just isn’ t show car quality.

Yes, I believe the timing covers are interchangeable, the balancers are the same spot... the mainly difference is the trough for the crank sensor wires

I like the aftermarket but I like the plastic cover price. There is not a lot of info out there about this. I’m glad I found this site. Thank you guys for the info. I would be stuck in limbo without it.
