Hey guys I recently bought a tie rod end from Advanced Auto and the tie rod has an open hole that looks threaded but it didn't come with a zerk fitting? I went back to AAZ and they said, yep it doesn't need one. While that may be the case I just don't see how having an open hole is a good thing. Dirt and water will easy get in there. Here is what it looks like:

That's a moog and it comes with a zerk. Just replaced all mine. I'd take it back or have them check all their other boxes. Either way newer cars don't have zerk but no hole either.
