I am asking because i just a car for the baby and i am going to build my ranger up..

It was on there for two or three weeks. I probably couldve decided
to get rid of my Toyota a little sooner but I'm happy with the truck I got. I know the 2.9's way better. I'm just glad you gave it the love it deserved ha ha

love the sas! ttb is good, but this truck needed both axles rebuilt, so instead i just swaped them, i probably wouldn't have sas'ed it if they were in nice shape.

but, how much money and time do you have?

Like your write up on your swap. Im getting ready to throw those same axles under my truck. Gotem off a 78 f250 but they they have like 3.5? gears in it. I had a couple questions for ya about the axles if you dont mind? Will a 16x10 wheel fit over the ginormous calipers the HD dana 44 has on it? Were you able to run the round u-bolts through the hole on the diff housing or did you have to mod it to work?

Yes you can 16's came stock on those axles now if u wanna run 15's like i do u have alot of grinding to do same as the dana 60 like i got.

To use the u bolt how u want to u need to do alot of grinding u can find more info and pics over on pirate in the ford section.

Imo it be better to just leave them down they been runnin em like that for years and there really not in the way for anything unless u plan on extreme rock crawling
