That was fun to mess around with. I tried to go to the "build your Ford" section but it wasn't archived. Do the new Rangers have a manual transmission option?

I enjoyed building that site -- well, I mean working with the techs who did build it. That was one of my jobs working at the agency that was responsible for the digital output of everything Ford.
Little known useless fact: I personally hand coded the first Ford Site. It was six pages if I remember correctly, early nineties.

No new Ford trucks are available with manual transmissions at this time. Not Maverick, not Ranger, not F-150, not Super Duty trucks - all automatic transmissions.

Bronco is kind of sort of not really a truck and does have a 7spd manual though.

Ranger hasn't had a manual option for a very long time however.

I think you can get the new super duties with a manual in Mexico. At least they had a manual option for the 6.2L that you could not get in the us.

Ranger has a manual (and a diesel) overseas too, it doesn't do us much good here though.

More gears just mean quicker shifts or higher top speed. Depending on how it's setup. That's why I really like the idea of the 7 speed.
