nice truck, ive been trying to find a decent priced fx4 lvl II for a while now with no luck.

Not trying to threadjack but i have a quick question. In my searching for a fx4 lvl II with the manual transfer case i found a base fx4 (2002) with a manual tranny and transfercase. I didnt think you could get this unless it was in a lvl II?

there was no level II in 2002 iirc, just plain old FX4. essentially all 2002 fx4's are level II's. i think

giver her a good cleaning, find a wrecked Ranger and grab the seats and 4.0 motor or have them reupholstered. Clean her, throw some new BFGS. That is a crap oad of miles! That would be first on my list is to find a low mileage 4.0 to swap into her

Why fix it if it ain't broken? I wouldn't swap a different engine in of the same kind if the original wasn't busted someway.

it came from massachusetts and i think it has been all over the country , the second owner bought it with 102k on it and had it for 2.5 years and put 176k on it in that time

i got the bolt for the seat , that is the only thing wrong with the seat , that is why it is half tore apart , and i will take a underhood shot , this thing is clean enought under the hood to eat off the engine , she is gonna get a good wash and wax , and some other goodies , but no reason to change shit that is still runnin good

yea , but it still has some issues , front bearing in the trans sounds a little iffy , and the rear diff is making some gear noise , nothin major though , still not a bad truck

miles arent a big deal. youre gonna be doin maintenence anyway. the only things youre really going to have to worry about is drivetrain(engine,trans,case,rear end), but hell, drive her till she blows, i say! it seems like, you could prolly go to the auction and get another truck for the drivetrain for pretty cheap if you have to.

well i found a bunch of U-Haul employee stuff in the glove box , and it has Toyo Open Country H/T's on it , so i think the guy worked for u-haul and ferried trailers all over the U.S,

i think the rear end is bad in it , there is gear oil all over the under side of the bed and gas tank , i think it had a bad pinion seal maybe , but it does not look wet around it , it does look wet around the speed sensor though
