This is getting ridiculous.

You actually have to use an engine crane to do head gaskets on those bad boys.

We have 2 stands for the 6.0/6.4L's in our shop. They are huge, they mount to the engine mount bolt bosses on the block on each side and have a gear reduction rotisserie built into them to aid in rolling them upside down for doing bedplates. Handy as hell.

Just wait until you start tearing into the new Torqshift behind the 6.7L....it requires the use of the engine crane to remove the main shaft/gear cluster out of it.

It really sucks not having the proper tools at hand. We can have the cab off, engine out and resealed, back in and running in 2 days.

I have seen them in use at previous dealerships that I've worked at. We are getting one, it's just a matter of actually getting it on a truck. One of the big wigs was in today saying that there is talk of putting in an actual truck shop in the back when we expand the shop, so we may be getting 2 soon.

As for the Torqshift, I don't do transmissions. I pull them, I understand them, but I don't fix them. More by choice than anything else.
