This disturbed me a bit...


ok, that's new to me, I know my '90 has the resistor on the back, had heard about bypassing the resistor like 5 years ago figured it was how it had to be done. I know that was a F150 site, but was the same procedure I've heard of for these things in the past
 
So what about getting a unit for my 84 and putting it in my 99? My 84 has a real oil gauge in the stock dash that works. It goes down a bit once it warms up so I assume it works right.
 
Some of us knew about the dummy gauge. Ford got smart and changed the panel to just get rid of the guage and put in the light. Doesn't bug me all that bad. Thou my twitchy temp gauge is bugging me. There are some things I like about Chevy's, they use actual numbered gauges. Not a range gauge where as long as the needle is in the normal, nothings wrong.
